There are many air quality solutions available in the marketplace today. Which one is going to clean your air to your satisfaction? Each solution has a function. UV lights are effective against bacteria, but don't address particulate. Filtration is effective but doesn't address volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the airstream. So what's irritating you? Maybe it is time for an air test!
Here's what to expect:
A Bayonet representative will stop by and leave an air testing device at your home. It will be placed and plugged it. It works best with access to an analog phone line and power outlet. The outlet is mandatory, but the phone line isn't. We leave the device for 3 to 5 days and it takes air samples, and either stores the data or downloads it into a database. The testing company sends us a report which will illustrate what's in your air. That report is yours to keep.
Here's what it won't do: the test can't quantify what's in the air exactly. It won't say "mold" or "pollen". It can't recommend remediation or be used as grounds for a case against drywall defects. It can, however, point us to exactly which or the myriad options available to us will get you the best solution for the problems you are encountering! Many times, we find nothing at all wrong with the air! Sometimes, it's just dirty ductwork. Sometimes, an upgraded filter does the trick. Sometimes, it is a combination of high humidity exacerbating an indoor irritant.
